CESIE is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in Palermo (Italy) and established in 2001. Inspired by the work and life of Danilo Dolci, we focus our actions on the research of social needs and challenges and the use of innovative learning approaches. CESIE is committed to promote educational innovation and growth through the active participation of people, civil society and institutions, always valuing diversity. In the field of art and education CESIE is actively contributing to: • Promoting the use of art for the enhancement of inter-cultural dialogue and social inclusion of vulnerable groups • Development of innovative creative methodologies and tools that reinforce innovation, support creative potential of youth as well as promote European cultural heritage • Promoting the use of digital technologies to enhance and widen engagement with arts and culture and to facilitate new and rich ways of enabling audience participation and involvement Since 2019, CESIE started organising an artistic contest Art and Act that promotes gender equality, intercultural dialogue and international cooperation.
